Synopsis:

Jeff LAU isn't one of those who like to stay within his comfort zone. This time he goes beyond to the sci-fi genre which is rarely chosen by Chinese filmmakers. With the sky-high production costs, an enormous proportion of the expenditure has been invested into CGIs that are mostly featured in several severe action scenes between the cyborgs.

The story is about K1 - the first cybernetic organism programmed with sophisticated social conscience secretly created by the Chinese government. Without knowing its identity, the villagers love this newcomer when it is sent to this remote area for safety test. K1 undergoes a handful of challenges which mostly are solved with no trouble, except one - Su Mei, a fellow officer falls for "it". For cyborgs, "love" is a deadly virus among humans only and they are not programmed to know how to "love".

One cyborg named K88 disappears after suffering a neural meltdown.K1 and its guardian Da Chun have to hunt down the malfunctioning K88. A crucial confrontation which totally revolutionizes their world is on the verge…
