Description:
In 2010, producer Checkley Sin and director Herman Yau explored Ip Man the righteous, patriotic Wing Chun grandmaster in The Legend is Born – Ip Man. Three years later, the team shows us a more human side of Master Ip with Ip Man: The Final Fight. People know Ip Man as the Wing Chun grandmaster that defeated Japanese soldiers, racist boxers and Zhang Ziyi on the big screen. However, The Final Fight depicts a later stage of Master Ip's life as a humble Wing Chun teacher in 1950s and 1960s Hong Kong. Based on anecdotes about Master Ip's life directly from his son Ip Chun, the action drama shows the master as a normal man who simply wanted to pass on the art of Wing Chun to his students, even as labor unrest, corruption and crime swept the rapidly developing city. At the same time, he is also a respected figure who would not hesitate to go into action to protect his students.

In this latest take on the martial arts legend, award-winning actor Anthony Wong takes up the role of Master Ip in a dignified and commanding performance. One of the best actors in Hong Kong, Wong not only learned Wing Chun especially for the role, he also became the only actor to adapt Ip's real-life Foshan accent. Joining Wong is a strong supporting cast that includes Jordan Chan (Young and Dangerous), Anita Yuen (Protégé), Zhou Chu Chu (Dream Home), Gillian Chung (Twins Effect), Timmy Hung, Jiang Luxia, Xiong Xin Xin (Once Upon a Time in China) and Eric Tsang.

In 1949, 56-year-old Ip Man (Anthony Wong) leaves Foshan in search of a new life in Hong Kong. After an impromptu sparring match, Ip takes up his first disciple, Leung Seung (Timmy Hung). With Seung's help, Ip establishes a makeshift Wing Chun school on an apartment building's rooftop. Eventually, Ip attracts a group of loyal students from all walks of life, including a policeman, a factory laborer, a tram driver and others. Synopsis:

Lok Yan (Miriam Yeung) was ditched by her fiancé on their wedding day. Thereafter she started to work her way up to become a wedding planner, gaining fame planning wedding for many acclaimed celebrities. One night, in a bar, she meets a young attorney, Fung (Raymond Lam), and they spend a passionate night together in a hotel – with no plans to never meet again. Fate brings them together again at a wedding. Their one night stand now becomes a debt dispute since Fung's boss owes Yan's company fees for 30 weddings. When Fung's boss runs away, Fung is left to clear the debt and so he starts working for Yan.

While working together to organize successful weddings, they face and overcome many challenges and begin to feel affection for each other. But love is never simple – especially for Yan whose four close girlfriends do not approve of her relationship with Fung because they think he is too young for her. Yan further complicates the situation by keeping Fung at a distance because of the painful memories of her failed relationships.

Fung disapproves of portraying a wedding as a show and after a big fight with Yan he almost quits the company – but Yan sees his point of view and they reach a compromise. Together they organize a touching wedding which marks the start of a new relationship between them. They spend a wonderful night together at Yan's place and decide to start a romantic relationship secretly.

Just as Yan's painful memories of previous failed relationships begins to fade, her ex-boyfriend, Joe (Eric Kot), turns up again. Joe is about to get married but realizes he still misses Yan and tries to win her back. Yan is confused and undecided and this destroys her relationship with Fung, even though she rejects Joe. Although Yan and Fung still love each other, they part and begin new separate relationships….

Synopsis:

City of Life and Death (Chinese: !)is an upcoming Chinese film directed by Lu Chuan, marking his third feature film. The film deals with the Battle of Nanjing and its aftermath (commonly referred to as "The Rape of Nanking" or the "Nanking Massacre") during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The film is also known as Nanking! Nanking! or Nanjing! Nanjing!. While originally slated for a 2008 release, the director-general of the Chinese Film Bureau announced in September that the film could be delayed to an early 2009 release.

City of Life and Death takes place in 1937, during the height of the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Imperial Japanese Army has just captured the then-capital of the Republic of China, Nanjing. What followed was known as the Nanking Massacre, or the Rape of Nanking, a period of several weeks wherein tens of thousands of Chinese soldiers and civilians were killed. The film tells the story of several figures, both historical and fictional, including a Chinese soldier, a schoolteacher, a Japanese soldier, a foreign missionary, and John Rabe, a Nazi businessman who would ultimately save thousands of Chinese civilians.

Synopsis:

Jeff LAU isn't one of those who like to stay within his comfort zone. This time he goes beyond to the sci-fi genre which is rarely chosen by Chinese filmmakers. Synopsis:

　　英皇電影榮譽呈獻劇力萬均的動作巨著 ──《證人》，是由《野獸刑警》及《千機變》的金像導演林超賢精心泡製，並由謝霆鋒、張靜初、張家輝等一眾實力派演員傾力演出，全片斥資高達二千二百萬港幣拍攝，其中不乏超動感撞車場面。
　　謝霆鋒和張家輝二人在片中均有脫胎換骨的演出。《證人》中的謝霆鋒粗獷剛烈，充滿成熟男人味；張家輝則陰沉內斂、冷酷凶殘。張靜初繼《門徒》的毒女之後，再次令觀眾眼前一亮，形象徹底轉變。
　　導演林超賢向來擅長駕馭動感大場面。《證人》一片結合了香港各區鬧市街景及多場激烈的打鬥，眾演員亦拚死演出，其中包括男主角於旺角街頭爬上七層高的大廈外牆等極其危險的動作；又於鬧市街頭追逐，因此於拍攝期間也曾引起不少哄動。面導演在刻劃情感方面的功架比從前更深厚，令人為之動容。

　　80年代末期開始為陳嘉上擔任副導，從《逃學威龍》、《霹靂火》、《天地雄心》到與陳嘉上聯合執導的《野獸刑警》，在第18屆香港電影金像獎大上出風頭，斬獲最佳影片和最佳導演兩項大獎。後來獨立導演的《G4特工》、《江湖告急》、《重裝警察》部部精彩，其中尤以《江湖告急》最受好評。

·電影《證人》為求真實感，花了兩天時間於北角人煙最稠密的電氣道及街市拍攝，並花費三十萬動用過百支**作道具，期間除了搞翻街市內近三十個檔攤之外，更惹起過百途人大恐慌，入黑後更出動武裝警察部隊，令途人誤以為有大事發生而報警。

Desriptions:

梅蘭芳人生的第一個競爭對手就是和梅家有三代情義的老藝人「十三燕」。梅蘭芳的出現，動搖了十三燕的地位。決戰不可避免，但是梅蘭芳第一場就輸了，他還有兩天的時間可以挽回敗局。不顧眾人的反對，梅蘭芳改演時裝新戲，結果大獲成功。勝負已定，梅蘭芳勸說十三燕放棄第三天的演出，卻遭到了十三燕的拒絕。

梅蘭芳漸入中年，有了妻子福芝芳（陳紅飾）和可愛的孩子們，他的事業如日中天。1929年，他接到了赴美國演出的邀請。在京劇舞台上專門扮演男人的女藝人孟小冬（章子怡飾）第一次見到梅蘭芳就看到了他眼中的憂鬱，而她開闊爽朗的性格感染了梅蘭芳。他們同台演出，有了一種把自己同對方糅在一起共同分享的願望。這時，梅蘭芳的妻子福芝芳對孟小冬說，他不是你的，也不是我的，他是座兒（觀眾）的。

梅蘭芳因為日本對中國的侵略，決定不再登台演出，在梅蘭芳多次拒絕日本軍隊對他發出的演出邀請時，卻吃驚地聽到了自己即將復出的消息，而向社會公佈這條消息的，正是匿名的邱如白（孫紅雷飾）。

幕後製作

小心翼翼拍《梅蘭芳》

　　陳凱歌執導的《無極》上映後，外界對這部電影的評價一直是貶大於褒，此次吸取《無極》在故事上比較弱化的教訓，陳凱歌對《梅蘭芳》的劇本要求苛刻。

　　陳凱歌要拍《梅蘭芳》的事情，已經得到梅氏後人梅葆玖先生的認可，梅葆玖已與陳凱歌以及投資方中影集團進行了磋商。梅葆玖的意見是：支持、合作、細談。目前梅葆玖先生已經把父親生前的影像、唱片、照片等資料都整理好，並表示可以無償提供給陳凱歌作為參考。

黎明出演梅蘭芳

　　從梁朝偉到王力宏再到黎明，《梅蘭芳》的主角人選一直備受關注，北京出生的黎明最終獲得劇組青睞，成為出演京劇大師梅蘭芳的最佳人選。

　　據悉，黎明日前已在北京完成試妝，而陳凱歌導演對於黎明的扮相也非常滿意。此外，從完整表現梅蘭芳的京劇人生這一角度出發，陳凱歌特別在劇本中添加了初稿中不曾出現的梅蘭芳的紅顏知己、著名余派女老生孟小冬一角。而為了讓影片更具國際競爭力，也參考了京劇余派女老生長圓臉型和清瘦形態這些因素，投資方、製片方和導演陳凱歌經過再三協商，終於選定了目前在國際影壇日漸走紅的章子怡出演孟小冬。

　　梅蘭芳之子梅葆玖與陳凱歌探討如何把梅派經典唱段，他們希望通過這些經典唱段全面展示梅蘭芳的藝術成就。而梅葆玖還將在扮演梅蘭芳的演員確定之後，協助陳凱歌對演員進行京劇訓練，力爭在銀幕上完美展現藝術大師的風采。

　　章子怡飾孟小冬

　　有關人士告訴記者，他們當初選角考量了不下十名國內知名演員，但放眼當今華語女星，既有國際知名度又符合余派女老生清瘦扮相等條件的女星少之又少，再加上要和當初風華正茂的孟小冬年齡相符，恐怕也就章子怡最適合。而導演也表示，章子怡的眼神和孟小冬最為相似，相信化好妝會更傳神。

　　黎明飾梅蘭芳

　　《梅蘭芳》自從籌備開始就吸引了眾多的目光，甚至傳出5位巨星爭演梅蘭芳的消息，包括黎明、梁朝偉、王力宏等人。此前還有消息稱飾演梅蘭芳的將是一個在香港的北京人，會說流利的普通話，因此黎明成為其中呼聲最高的一位。梅蘭芳一角最終花落黎明，理由正是他的形象比較符合導演要求，而且能說一口標準的京片子。目前，經過一段時間的語言訓練，黎明的京字京韻業已過關。

　　孫紅雷飾齊如山

　　梅蘭芳7歲開始學戲，9歲登台，17歲在京華劇壇嶄露頭角，「菊榜」評選中榮獲「探花」頭銜，他的表演不僅受到一般市民觀眾的歡迎，而且得到許多文人學士的青睞，齊如山就是其中的一位。齊如山對戲劇和戲劇理論均有深入研究，他對京劇尤為醉心，被梅蘭芳尊為「函授」教師。梅蘭芳和齊如山可謂亦師亦友，往來甚密。

　　陳紅飾福芝芳

　　從《和你在一起》到《無極》，陳凱歌的電影雖然飽受爭議，但他和陳紅的「銀幕夫妻檔」卻鐵打不動。記者還獲悉，陳紅此次也低調加盟了《梅蘭芳》劇組，並在其中飾演女二號———梅蘭芳的妻子福芝芳，陳紅的確頗有當初梅妻的風韻。對於愛妻的造型陳凱歌顯然也很滿意，但是也有看到定裝照的專家指出：「陳紅的氣質和福芝芳的確有幾分神似，只是太過漂亮了一些。」

　　李勝素飾言慧珠

　　言慧珠出身京劇世家，乃言菊朋的次女，是當初上海灘的風雲人物，按說要梅蘭芳收女徒弟並非易事，當初言慧珠就硬沒通過父親的關係，而是自己摸索著先攀上了梅蘭芳琴師徐蘭沅這條線，漸漸進入梅家把梅家千金哄開了懷，整整當了幾個月的「故事姐姐」，這才讓梅蘭芳看到了她的毅力。考慮到言慧珠本就是京劇名伶，而電影中涉及她的戲份又多數是跟著梅蘭芳學戲，所以劇組在選角的時候選擇了李勝素這個當今京劇界數一數二的梅派青衣擔綱。
